Wambui Mukenyi. ITS A SALE

Wambui Mukenyi is one of my favorite African designers. Although fairly new on the market, she has a unique style and puts together unique and modern pieces. I especially like how she uses African print and comes up with the funkiest designs. She also does a good job with one off pieces on order.
Lucky for you Wambui is having a huge Xmas sale that she has kindly extended to the end of the year just for you so this is your chance to indulge this holiday season. If you are a follower of the blog, leave a comment with your name and i will inform her so you can you claim your whooping 30% discount on the items. This sale is open to everyone in East Africa but i especially want my Ugandans people to jump at this.

the blues

Because sometimes all one needs is to read a jumble of words that do not necessarily make sense. Is it just me that finds comfort in the things unknown, interesting song lyrics inclusive. No one does it better than Switchfoot. These are excerpts of  lyrics from "The blues" off the "Nothing is Sound" album.

Is this the New Year or just another night?
Is this the new fear or just another fright?
Is this the new tear or just another desperation?

Is this the finger or just another fist?
Is this the kingdom or just a hit n' miss?
A misdirection, most in all this desperation

Is this what they call freedom?
Is this what you call pain?
Is this what they call discontented fame?

It'll be a day like this one

when the world caves in

There's nothing here worth saving, Is no one here at all? Is there any net left that could break our fall?

It'll be a day like this one
When the sky falls down and the hungry and poor and deserted are found
Are you discontented? Have you been pushing hard?
Have you been throwing down this broken house of cards?

It'll be a day like this one
                             When the world caves in...........

NB: Something good to look forward to. I will be doing a designer jacket giveawy end of this week. Details coming soon.
